- The game is in Japanese, I don't understand how it works, nor how to play it
Please, follow us.

- Which emulator do you use ?
This one : DeSmuME (latest version : 0.9.9)

- I don't understand DeSmuME
Okay, let me help you out with this one.

Here's your DeSmuME window :

The functions that you will probably use the most will be the "File" function and the "View" one. Let's take a closer look to the main function, which is the file one :

"Open ROM..." is what permits you to launch the game. You just have to pinpoint the archive of your game, click "open", and the game starts. When you quit DeSmuME and then open it again, if you've already played the game at least once, it'll be located directly in that area (see the following picture) so you don't have to always locate your game :

When playing Doki Doki Survival, quick saves are a must since they permit you to save whenever you want in case there's an event you are scared to miss (like the Skinship or even the Mini-games). To quick save your current progression you just have to click File, then "Save State As...", give a name to your save file and specify the folder in which you want your quick save to appear.
Now, to open a quick save, click File then "Load State From". You'll be able to open a quick save whenever you want and wherever you want.
Be careful, if you open an old quick save and then save directly using the game's functions and not the emulator's, you'll more likely lose all the things and progressions you might have done or obtained since then.

Now that we got to understand the File function, let's take a look at the View function.

If it's the very first time you launch DeSmuME, you'll probably have to use the "Rotation" function (and set it to 270) so the game will be opened in the right sense.
I guess that you can figure out the other options on your own ~

- The sound is weird
Yup, we both had the same problem at first. Yeah, I said at first. Because you can get rid of those annoying sizzle sounds going on DeSmuME Config option, then Sound Settings and matching the settings you have with ours :

Feel free to ask if you have any questions !

  2. Hey, I just found your blog and it's pretty amazing <3
Have you ever thought about collaborating with other people (like jjjewel or AmuletCross' team) to make an actual English patch? Anyway thanks for all these; I was super curious about the game :D

Yes, I would like to, personally ! :3 I'm not good at computer programing though, but if they ever want me to come and make this project possible, I'll certainly do it :3

You're very welcome, glad it pleases you~

    2. Oh, that's pretty awesome to hear. It's thanks to collabs that games like Girl's Be Gracious, Gakupuri or even TM3 were able to get patches. Jjjewel worked on Gakupuri and did the programming so I'm sure if you contacted her it might happen. You've already done most of the translating so I assume the rest would all be smooth sailing lol

The site for all her works is: https://sites.google.com/site/otomeundercover/home

But any decision you make is a respectable one :) Thanks again for the awesome translations!

Yes indeed ! ♥ Her works are pretty famous in the otome games fandom~ ♥ Anyway, it'd be an honour for me to work with her, but I don't want to seem impatient or pushy about it so I think I'll simply wait until she comes to me or until someone asks for the actual game to be patched ^__^

Thank you for the information though ! :3

    4. OMG! Sorry to but into your convo but I would kill to get a patch of this game! >.<" My inner fan girl can only dream~ I hope it'll happen soon though *squeals and flails around like an idiot*

There needs to be some sort of Tenipuri movement! Girls are all over things like Utapri or Brother's Conflict now.
      Ugh, like no. o(´^`)o
Prince of Tennis is where it's at.
